Peer Review of Summary-1(By Kayla)

1. What do you like best about your peer's summary? (Why? How might he or she do more of it?) I think Kayla got a really good job. Her content is very clear and logical. I love this part.
2. Is it clear what is being summarized? (i.e. Did your peer list the source, and cite it correctly?) I think it’s very clear. She mentions all points. Her summary is so organized.
3. Is the thesis of the original essay clear in the summary? (If not, write out what you think that thesis is.) Yes, the thesis of the original essay is totally reflected to her summary.
4. If you have read the original source, did you identify the same thesis? (If not, how does it differ?) Yes, I think I can identify the same thesis.
5. Did your peer miss any key points from his or her summary? (If so, what are they?) For her article, she mentioned “Before his plan, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed his possessions to his son. He discovered the Bible when he back home with sadness and regret”. I think she has to tell the reader he went back home immediately and then develop the bible.
6. Did your peer include any of his own opinions in his or her summary? (If so, what are they?) No, I think Kayla follows the original article to write the essay.

7. Did your peer include any unimportant details in his or her summary? (If so, what are they?) No, I think every sentence in her summary is the key points.

8. Were any points in the summary lost? (If so, where and how might it be fixed? Why do you think it might be important?) Yes, for her article, she mentioned “Before his plan, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed his possessions to his son. He discovered the Bible when he back home with sadness and regret”. In my opinion, I think she should tell us the man go back to check the possession. She mentioned his father willed his possession and then he discovered the Bible. That will be a little bit weird.
